Guruvayoor Resort, Guruvayur

I had quite a mixed experience at this hotel. While it is located in a quiet residential area close to the temple, the state of the rooms, particularly the cleanliness, was very disappointing. On the bright side, the friendly staff and spacious suite I stayed in were notable highlights. However, the lack of hygiene in the bathrooms was a major downside, making my stay less pleasant than expected.

The hotel has a charming ambiance resembling a traditional Kerala house, with a lovely courtyard. While the rooms are a bit small and basic, the cleanliness and the complimentary breakfast were definite highlights. Although it's located near the railway station, the walk to the temple can feel a bit long. Also, the lack of Ayurvedic massage services was disappointing, and the Wi-Fi only being available in the reception area is less than ideal.

The resort offers a relaxing and peaceful experience, with clean rooms and very friendly staff. The home-style food was a highlight, but I found the distance from the temple a bit inconvenient. Overall, it’s a great value for money given the amenities, though the absence of a dustbin in the room was a minor setback.
